“The Lab invites artists, scientists, writers, musicians, performers, theorists, and other makers to participate in Hypothesis: An Art/ Science Fair to be held November 5, 2011 at The Lab in San Francisco. Participants will present their practice in the form a traditional science fair display, using the “scientific method” to: define a question or concept, gather information and observations, form a hypothesis, explain experiments and processes, analyze data or processes, and draw a conclusion. Participants need not be artists or scientists or artists using science, but rather anyone interested in how concept and process can be creatively presented using a standard format such as the scientific method and display board. We seek a wide range of projects to be presented on levels that will be approachable for a wide audience…”
