“The Arctic Circle 2012 seeks applications from international contemporary artists of all disciplines, scientists, architects, educators and innovators alike. Aboard an ice-class expedition sailing vessel, participants will voyage on a collaborative mission into the High Arctic.
The Arctic Circle 2012 takes place in the international territory of Svalbard, a mountainous Arctic archipelago just 10 degrees from the North Pole. The program provides the opportunity for artists and innovators to pursue their personal projects on board while exploring collaborations with the expedition’s fellow participants.
The vessel, a traditionally rigged Tall Ship, is equipped with work space, common areas and ample room for privacy and creativity.

Included are:
- Hotel accommodation pre and post expedition
- Transfers from airport to hotel, and hotel to ship
- Accommodation on board from the point of departure to return

Participants are responsible for transportation to/ from Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Individual participant fee for The Arctic Circle 2012 is $ 5800 USD.
